I don’t visit the hairdresser, until I need a haircut which is every three months or so. I simply like doing my own hair. Whether you do your own hair or visit your hairdresser weekly or bi-weekly, it’s a process. You’ve gone all week or maybe even two and your hair feels icky. It won’t curl right, it won’t lay right and it starts to feel weighed down. Wash, rinse repeat. The first wash gets all that oil and dirt broken up, your scalp is stimulated and awaken to what’s going on and it starts to feel alive. That first rinse, you can see how dirty the lather is and immediately you feel a difference. That second wash is not as hard to lather as the first, so you know your hair is clean. But, wait, we can’t leave the sink without the most important part of the process; conditioning. The conditioning or protection for the next week or two. Conditioning is just what it is and even in our lives. Washing and cleansing our minds of the toxicity and negativity we experience daily is vital to our perceptions. Wash, rinse, repeat; don’t forget to condition it’s the most important part of the process. Proverbs 4;23 says guard your heart with all diligence for out of it flows the issues of life. Guarding is quickly forgiving, not assuming the worst; but choosing to see the best and loving unconditionally.
